Basic Rules of Poker
If you’re just getting into Poker, there are some basic rules you should follow. The first rule is to always show your cards! The dealer will tell you how many cards you have, and the dealers will show you their cards, too. If you’re not showing your cards, you’ll lose. There’s no point in wasting time complaining about bad beats and bad cards if you can’t change them. The second rule is to never blame the dealer – it makes everyone uncomfortable, and it also ruins the fun of playing.
The second rule is that you should never lie about your hand, even if you have a pair. It’s better to play a pair of aces than to lie about it! Besides, you might lose. That’s why it’s important to be truthful. If you lie, you’ll end up losing more often than you win. But, you can’t lie about that! This rule will make the difference between winning and losing.
Remember that your opponents don’t control the outcome of the hand, and you need to respect them. Never argue with the dealer! Of course, they make mistakes. If you notice one, explain it politely and request that they fix the problem or call the floorman. The floorman will be happy to help you out. When playing Poker, you should be respectful of other players and always play within your limits. If you make a mistake, it can ruin the whole hand.
